e-mailing question about the classified section 200

I'm tried to respond to a classified ad here (yesterday morning) by going to the posters profile and picking up their e-mail address there. I got no response. Is that the normal way to make contact if they don't include any contact info in the text of their ad?

I thought clicking on the e-mail line of the form would work, but that just takes me to a log on screen even though I am already logged on.
