I was coming home from the mountains a few weeks ago and encountered traffic under an overpass – ICE!! I was able to stop with no problem due to the tires and the manual transmission, but the guy behind me wasn’t. My wagon was totaled!
I couldn’t believe the amount of damage – it felt like I was just bumped but when I got out and saw the amount of damage . . . Fortunately there were no injuries but my poor Volvo sacrificed itself.
I feel such a loss – almost like it was a person who passed away. I feel a little silly about it but all that time we spent together; I miss my weekends with the Volvo.
Anyway,
I’m dealing with the insurance compensation and they don’t seem to understand how great my car was, how reliable and in such good condition it was. They are trying to convince me that it’s only worth $1945.00.
Is this what I should expect them to pay?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the insurance adjustors?
