simple quick question about bulb wattage 245 200

I just bought new bulbs for the rear lights of my '90 245 but after looking on the package and checking with the owners manual the bulbs i bought were of higher wattage. Should I return them and order bulbs that are of the wattage in the owners manual or should i be fine running slightly more draw?
