I am trying to decide which would be ultimately nicer. Bumpers repaired and rechromed somewhere to above average yet below show car status, or these stainless ones (reproduced in Vietnam, overseen by England it seems) seen on eBay. As they point out, if stainless gets a dent, it is able to be worked and polished again. Grade 304 stainless is familiar. It's a nice, rust proof, high grade used in many aircraft applications.
Still, what I do not really have any idea of is whether chrome will outshine it or why it is Europeans went with the stainless and America had to have chrome. Can we get some pros and cons here?
