Flame trap plumbing 200 1988

I've been trying to figure out the flame trap system in my 1988 240GL. I bought it recently with a non-functional crankcase ventilation system. Two hoses come out of the top of the flame trap. The smaller one goes to the intake manifold. The larger one is missing, and I can't figure out where it's supposed to go. I ordered one from Volvo, and it's basically U-shaped, and so must come back down to attach somewhere not too far away from the flame trap. I would assume that it must attach to the crankcase, but I just can't spot it. The Bentley manual wasn't too informative. I've attached a photo of where the missing hose emerges from the flame trap (at least I hope it's the flame trap).
