Hello All, Just drove 120 mi. home in my new (to me) '91 940 Turbo wagon. During a test drive I determined it needs a new muffler and new front brakes. Also the power driver seat is dead; no movement, no noise. Any advice on this? After 120 interstate miles at 70-80mph, when stopped at redlights the engine would sputter and miss for a second or two, then smooth out for a few seconds, sputter some more, smooth out etc, etc. Once it even died. Adding a little throttle (1000 rpm) no help. This occurs only when the car is in drive with foot on the brake. When in neutral or park the idle is perfect. I did notice the fuel cap does not fit perfectly. It's green--were oe fuel caps green? Related? Anyone ever experience this type of sputter/miss? Also, when I arrived home I noticed the back glass and tailgate were covered with a fine mist of engine oil which was not there 120mi before. I'd guess this means valve seals? I have a good mechanic who I trust, but sometimes fixes by trail and error. I'd like to be able to give him a little direction from someone else's experience. Thanks in advance.
