New plugs, now running rich. 200 1990

About a month ago I changed the plugs from Champion RN9YC to NGK BPR6ES 7131 and it has been running rich since.
Symptoms?
Plugs are wet.
Can smell gas on occasion.
Have to go “petal to the metal” to start it when the engine already warmed up.
Why would that be?
