I'm going to use a front-end re-bushing kit I bought from IPD a number of years ago... It's a kit with four identical metal-housing bushings and eight blue poly donut bushings.
My first question is realted to the big metal bushings... When I pulled my old arms and bushings out, I notied that the top ones differed from the lowers. They have a kind of indent or trough around the middle of the metal housing right where the u-bolts hold the top arms on, or go around them in other words... I'm wondering if perhaps this was a wear-pattern from who knows how many thousands of miles on them, or the orignals were actually made with this groove? Are the four identical ones I have from IPD going to work for both upper and lower arms? Can anybody explain?
Also.. I'll admit it... I haven't a clue what the blue donut bushings are for... where do these go?
Thanks a bunch guys (and gals..), as always.
