fuel pump draining my battery? 88 240 wagon 200

Ongoing drain problem I've been fighting on and off for a while. Dead Battery. Charged Battery.

When I reconnected this morning the I heard the fuel pump running, with no key in. Started it up, no problem. Shut it off, no more fuel pump running. Go to work in the truck. Come home 9 hours later, dead battery.

Any ideas, my wife would like to go to work tomorrow.
