What are '88 volvo "series 7' (87-90), 'series 9' ? 200 1988

I'm buying ball joints and end rods.

"series 7 (87-90), series 9" is used in discriptions and I do not recall ever seeing that before.

Will you please clarify what "series 7 (87-90), series 9" specifies and/or how do I know the parts I purchase apply to my '88 244 DL sedan?
