I (think) I have got my 1992 Rex/Regina wagon into a drivable state.
I had a hot start problem that (I think) I have fixed with a new fuel pump relay.
I intend to replace the brakes before too long -- the performance is a bit lacking. However, I'd like to think this car is "reliable" on a long trip and on the highway. Solid underneath. I have recently replaced the head gasket, radio suppression relay and done all the simple tune up stuff.
1) How long do the regina fuel pumps last? I'm sure mine's original.
2) Ditto for the regina power stage / coil unit.
3) Anything else I should look at replacing to make this car reasonably dependable?
[ My "DIY reputation" is on the line here. I have had quite a bit of egg on face recently with breakdowns, etc. In meantime, wife insisted on 2008 Honda. Now dedicating the rest of my life to ensure that this 1992 740 lasts longer than her ridiculously extravagant Odyssey. So there.].
