Yesterday, leaving work, my car wouldn't start. I've had this problem twice in the past week; it cranks, but doesn't catch. Each time it cleared up after I cycled the key a few times, and I noticed that my pump has not always been priming the system in key position II (that is, I don't hear it run briefly). My first suspect was the fuel pump relay, and sure enough, that was the problem. I swapped in a new relay and the car roared to life.
Here's the creepy part: I have never had fuel pump relay issues before, but I had a new one in the glovebox, and knew exactly what the problem was. I'm too far gone, aren't I? I've merged with the 240 and we share a single mind.
Yes, I'm a Brickboarder.
