Threads and mount for oil sender 200 1984

I am having trouble getting the sender to clear the alternator. The present setup has a 45deg. adapter in the block with the sender in that. It still interferes with the alternator badly, reducing the adjustment range to about 1/2".
So the called for belts will not work, too short because you can't get the alternator in far enough.

It's a tight area, the coolant pipe above, oil filter (or in my case the remote mount adapter)on the rear side, alternator on the front side, even the engine mount interferes below.
I am trying to get some elbows and straight lengths to make it work, but am not sure of the thread size.

What is the thread size for the oil sender in the block?

If anyone has solved this, what did you do?
