240 Performance Exhaust Recommendations Sought 200 1977

I'm doing a ground up resto of a 1977 242DL (please don't ask why, I'm not sure myself), and I'm to the point of installing a new exhaust system.

The car will be mostly stock, with only a few upgrades (modded R-Sport instrument cluster, aftermarket steering wheel, and that's about it).

I'd like to get as much HP out of the car as possible with the exhaust replacement, and I'm looking for recommendations. The old system was totally shot, so I have nothing after the manifold.

I'm tempted to go the IPD sport exhaust route, but then would prefer to eliminate the cat if possible, but I'm wondering where I can find a cat delete pipe, etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
