Disconnecting brake caliper lines 200

I plan to replace a right front brake caliper on our '89 245. I've had a real tough time in the past, getting the two brake lines off the caliper. Yes, I've been using a flare wrench. Have tried everything else I can think of, because the flare wrench just expands a bit and slips over the hex flats.

What do I use? Vise Grips just crush the hex and twist the soft metal brake line.

Heat? PB Blaster or WD-40? Curse in Swedish or German? Expensive flare wrench from a "real" parts store?
