Neutral Safety Switch Replacement. Cannot Get It Apart 700

Attempted replacement of the neutral safety switch. Mine is the one mounted on plastic pins not screwed on. Removed entire gearshift, pulled out shaft, snap ring and shift lever and I cannot get the plastic assembly to pull out. I tried the faq but it doesn't seem to go into detail about this repair.
