So, my car won't go into reverse. The tab/ring that is used to get over the backing plate, into reverse, on the shift lever, is broken. The only way into reverse now, is lifting the shift boot up, and "manually" putting the white stopper over the backing plate, into reverse. This is not cool. What I'm wondering now, is what do i have to buy to fix this?. there seems to be a black rubber almost 'nut' going from where the shift shaft connect to the shift ball linkage. I'm not sure how this gets apart, or even how to approach it. But, i know it needs to get fixed, and super soonish.
