Hello everyone, my name's Jeremy and I'm from Australia. I'm fifteen years old and have been a fan of Volvos for 2 years now, I've come here to gather as much information as I need before I'm old enough to obtain my beginners licence (L plates in Australia, at age 16) and purchase my first Volvo!

However, I'm having trouble figuring out which Volvo best suits me. I'm very fond of the Volvo 240, 940 and 850. I will have about $4000 - $6000 to get my first car here in Australia.

I have been set on a Volvo 240 for quite some time, but my dad wants me to get something more modern. He hasn't got any problem with Volvo 240's, but he just suggested that I do look into a more modern volvo. He said he would be willing to put money towards getting a more recent model.

The things that I appreciate most in a car are Comfort/Ride Quality, Noise Isolation, Build quality and Reliability.

I will be driving 10,000 kilometres per year maximum, I live in the city so I will be mainly doing city driving and going to and from school.

What cars would you suggest to me?
