Alternator belt tensioner compatibility

My 1992 245 needs a tensioner for its alternator. I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where there aren't too many salvage yards and even fewer bricks of that vintage. I've located a tensioner from an '89 - will that fit a '92? I imagine that it will, but "ya' never know, so ya?" so I thought I'd pose the question.
