M41 Speedometer Cable 140-160

I have a 74 145 that I upgraded to an M41 overdrive transmission.... so I need a longer M41 speedo cable. I used an early D-type overdrive unit instead of the typical J-type overdrive. Will a standard M41 speedo cable (for a 1974 140) work with the D-type overdrive? IPD has no idea. Thanks for the help.
