I saw a post about tail gate struts and I thought of something. Even though our wagon has very good tail gate struts, do any of maybe the newer 245 wagons have struts that also help slow the hatch down when you close it? (Our 245 brick is an ‘89.) Of course I hold onto the hatch when I close it but there’s been times when it has slammed shut-for no good reason-carelessness--I won’t tell you though that it’s the *cough-*couch*-hak*ahak*wife**cough*hack*hakhahk**-uhmm- that mostly is careless when closing the hatch. Regardless of who might be responsible for letting the hatch slam closed, I was just wondering if there’s a strut that works both ways-opening and closing. I also wonder if another pair of regular struts could be “jury rigged” to install upside down to work when closing the hatch?
