My first headgasket fix. A few questions. 200 1988

Good evening,

I found milk on my oil cap the other week which led me to believe my headgasket is busted. So I plan to fix this soon but have a few questions.

It's between 10 and -20 degrees F out these days/nights and I will probably not fix it in one day. Other than for my own pain is there any reason it should be put on hold for a month or two till it warms a little?

I could not see any milk on the dipstick or if I looked down at the cam. Can I just drain the oil and fill up again and it should be fine?

I plan on buying Elrings set. I read in a post once that it's good to replace hushers and valve seals while I'm in there. Are they included in the gasket set?

I plan to follow instructions from the FAQ and probably have head checked for warp. Anything else that should be mentioned?

Thanks

John
