Gas guage in incorrect - 1995 940 900

I filled up my tank and the next day it read about half. Then I topped it off and it read a little low. It's been cold and snowy, if that matters. I'm just wondering what the most likely suspect is. Thanks and cheers to all. (I can always use the odometer for now).
