Bosch Alternator Rear Bearing Removal 700 1990

While I've replaced bearings on numerous Volvo alternators over years, using various pullers, I'm currently having trouble getting access to the rear bearing on a '90 740's Bosch alternator. The front bearing pulled off as usual, but the alternator rotor shaft doesn't want to separate from the rear bearing, despite lots of wriggling and pulling on the front rotor shaft. Naturally I want to replace both bearings. The FAQ doesn't address alternator bearing removal. Any ideas? Thanks everybody!
