760 Side mirror wiring 200

My mother's 89 760 continues to have pieces lost due to minor crunches entering and exiting her garage. She will be 80 this year. Both side mirrors need replacing. Drivers side has floppy mirror with electric controls not functioning. Passenger side missing glass part of the mirror.
Today I pulled 2 mirrors from 94 940 in JY, hoping to get them to work. Volvo parts can be scarce in upstate NY. Upon inspection of the 760 door, 940 wiring has 1 plug 5 wires/ 760 2 wires and the adjustment control wiring goes thru a major harness.
Has anyone retrofitted 940 mirror assembly to 89 760 door? Any thoughts appreciated.
