After being distracted with another project, I finally got back to my 1974 142 last weekend and swapped on a rebuilt fuel distributor. It's not running yet, but I have no idea how many shims are in the pressure regulator, etc. Next will be some tuning with the fuel pressure gauge and I hope to have it running soon.
While looking at service procedures, I found a diagram of a throttle microswitch. My car does not have this part and I'm hoping it's something - similar to EGR in that year? - that was only on cars in certain markets (e.g. California). That being said, my car came without some vital parts, like a coil, so who knows. As much as anything, I'm curious as to whether others here have this part.
Also, have any k-jet people replaced the lines to the injectors and warm-up regulator? I'm found a place that can make stainless lines, but at something like $40 a pop; so it'd be $200+ to replace all of the lines.
Thanks for any info!
