Back to the stranded, replaced fuse, no fuel pump working, waiting for a tow... 200 1991

The car ran fine after replacing the No.6 fuse for about 2 days. Now,once more, the pump wont prime. I don't think its a faulty pump. On my other 240 I can jump the No.6 slot and get a spark and the pump primes. However, on the 91 there appears to be no power across the 6 fuse holder. Any ideas on where power could be cut off at? Or, has any one bypassed the fuse slot by making their own? Can I run a 12 gauge wire through a fusible link from the battery to the Right side of the 6 fuse holder? I had abdominal surgery and now I'm low on funds until the first of next month, so I don't want to do any expensive (or painful) repairs right now.
