Power steering hose replacement advice 700

1986 740 Turbo: My reservoir line is weeping and needs replacement (the hose from reservoir to pump). I've got an OEM hose from Autohaus* and plan to install this weekend.

My plan is to remove the extra fluid from reservoir with a baster. Then...? Thinking remove weeping hose at reservoir and point it into a bucket to drain. Then remove hose at pump... but will enough fluid be removed to prevent a major mess??

I've been reviewing the FAQ for power steering fluid flushing and tips and it's a bit unfocused over there. Before replacing hose should I drain entire system at rack? then replace hose?

I'm assuming I will flush out the entire system and put in new fluid after new hose installed.

*Autohaus AZ has fairly good prices and ships quick to Portland, Ore. Recommend!
