Hi All,
A little while ago i posted with a concern about clunking and "boing" noises coming from the front left strut tower. This happened after the installation of inner and outer tie rods, two new tires and a front-end alignment (which corrected a serious mis-alignment).

The struts themselves still appear sound when tested.


Could bad strut bearings (stretched/torn etc.) be allowing the strut assembly to interfere with the tower? Is there a way I can verify the condition of the strut bearing without removing the strut?(in which case I would probably replace the struts).

Are OE bearing still available if not is there aftermarket versions that are preferred.
