B30 lubrication 140-160

A local mechanic told me that cylinders 1&2 on the B30 suffer greater wear because they aren't lubricated as well as 3-6. He says this is because the lubricating system was designed for 4 cylinders not 6. He suggested synthetic oil to combat the problem. Any truth in this ?
