flasher for halogen bulbs 120-130 1966

I replaced the rear bulbs with halogen ones. (Fronts are still standard filament bulbs.) The OE flasher then became really slow, and intermittent. I replaced it with a NAPA mechanical one. It works but it also is very slow. Anybody know of a flasher that will work fairly quickly?
