Anyone here on G+ yet? So far, I like it. Anyways, on to something else.

I have been considering (since i bought it) lifting my 240 for, what I think to be, obvious reasons here in New England. I not only live in New England, but northern N. E., and am moving further north still. Roads are less than great, snow, etc. I'm not doing anything extreme, just somewhere near 2.5" I have read elsewhere something about using springs from other vehicles, but I can not remember which vehicles, and to which springs (front or rear) they replace. I am not really looking to make the suspension significantly stiffer, but obviously it will have to be a little stiffer to accommodate for the higher center of gravity. I will also be upgrading the sway bars when I do this also. Lifting suspensions is nothing new for me, I've done it on several of my jeeps, but this is a whole new world. I have looked into the rear overload springs from a wagon, but that will not accomplish what I want to do here.
Anyone have any suggestions? This is something I seriously want to do BEFORE the snow flies. Also, I have been looking for the old style deep lug snow tires (stud-able).

FYI I will be moving to Coastal ME, specifically Penobscot Bay or Bar Harbor and will be commuting an hour away and do lie some moderate off-road excursions.
