Just bought 2 brand new Bilstein Touring Class rear shock absorbers for our '89 wagon. I was happy to see they are "Made in Germany", so it says on the box and on the shocks themselves.
I do have a question for the 'Board about installing them:
Ive had different responses from a couple different people, so here it is for the 'Board-the mounting holes on either end of the shocks-should I lube them with some grease (or some other lubricant) before install or not? Some have said definetly yes-some have said definetly no, but I dont get the "why or why not" question answered to any real satisfaction.
I personally would think it would be best to lube them, but if not--why???
