I'm looking to replace the 7 inch round lights on my 142 with these. I would wire the LED halo lights as daytime running lights, but I'm not sure if they are bright enough to be effective DRLs. Does anyone have any experience with this type of light:

I think it's made by CEC Industries. I'm not familiar with that name and don't know if they make junk or not.
My other option is to get a set of Hella 7 inch round replacement lights and install aftermarket round foglights as DRLs, or use the rectangular Bosch fogs that were common on 1980 European cars.
I'm a firm believer in DRLs as a means to prevent an accident and I don't want to drive my precious 142 "in the dark" during the daytime.
Thanks.
