it happened to me too. 200

As I was working installing a new exhaust system I noticed the transmission dripping from the plug.
Sure enough the stupid plug bolt is stripped and I can see the threads in the pan are messed up too. Had to have been from the P.O. since I have not touch this since I got the 240 in June.
Lucky I saw it or I may have lost the whole trans.

SO I will be again remove the starter bolts and dropping the pan with the dip stick. WHAT A PAIN>> I just hop=e those pan nuts will not bust on me too.

I will try a helicoil. Looks like the plug is a 10mm but I'm nut sure.
Anyone know what the drain plug thread pitch is and size??

The other thing I noticed is that the plug had a nylon washer instead of the metal washer. Should I be changing that too??

Well This is gonna be fun.
