Now that I only have one project car, perhaps I can work on it a bit. Whenever I put gas in the car, the filler pipe leaks as I pour in gas. If I get the tank full, it will drip out.
Someone has tried to fix this problem before. There is a large amount of what looks like hard putty around the pipe and junction to the tank. I am afraid to remove this material, not knowing what I will find underneath. Plus, if the joint between the tank and filler pipe is cracked, how can I fix it.
Is there a gasoline proof patch material that I can put on? This is a step up from using a soup can on my exhaust pipe!

BTW, Xena runs great! Next major thing is to replace the windshield rubber, which I will probably farm out????
