no start when wet 700 1987

1987 740 NA 260k miles, 20k on new timming belt, 25k on replacement engine wiring harness, new fuel pump last winter (35 psi when running)145 to 155 psi compression, noid light flashes when cranking, replacement MAS (3rd one on the car from salvage yard)
This has been going on for years, when it rains or snows and the car is parked it will not start. I have changed plugs, cap, rotor, and the wires when it wont start and still nothing. yesterday I washed the car and the same thing, cranks very good but will not start. I kept cranking and after some time it started, but as soon as the TPS opened? it would stall. Some times when it wont start and I am cranking on it and let off the key it will pop out the TB or the exhaust, the timming belt is tight and in time (good compression)
I have tryed using starting fluid and that will not fire the car, I have only sprayed it into the intake at the intake hose after the MAS.
the only time I had this issue on a sunny day, was when the temp control started leaking. The fire wall and back of the engine was covered in coolant, I pulled the cap and it was dry. I have pulled the plug for the HAM? sensor in the distrubtor and it looked dry. This makes me think that 1 this is NOT the RSR, TPS, MAS, 2 not a fuel issue, I have 35 psi all the time. 3 not a timming belt issue, I have good compression.
I am thinking I have something going on at the back of the engine bay. Water is getting down the fire wall and shorting, grounding, or ??? something.
When it is dry this car rocks. I moved back to Michigan from Texas pulling a trailer, the total weight was 7820lbs and this old car did a dang good job.
thanks
Gene
