Which transmission is better for my 740?? 700 1989

Hello Bricksters:
This is El Raidman...with a new moniker: el profe glo. But I digress. Here is the dilemma: the wife's AW70 is going out and I want to replace it before she is stranded in 80mph traffic. I have found 2 good tranny's to evaluate.
1) at PNP, an AW70 from a 92 240 with 125K miles on it. Cost is $175.
2) on Craig's list, an AW71 from a 97 960 with 46K miles on it. Cost is $350.
Which is the better deal?
For longevity, I would say the AW71, but maybe for better economy, the AW70?
Any ideas?
