So. I'm about to do final assembly on a B20 engine, and I'm trying to get the details right when it comes to seals and gaskets and such... these engines are normally 'leakers' and I'd like to avoid that if I can.
I've got my crank seals set up for neoprene seals. I've got a new rear main lined up, but I can't find the seal for the front main! Who currently sells the front main seals?
And what pointers can you give me re *properly* sealing the sump pan, the timing cover, the rear main seal housing... I know not to overtorque, but what gaskets work best, what sealants (if any) work well to prevent the usual slow seepage that happens in the long run with these things?
I've got an alloy valve cover that seals perfectly when I use a neoprene gasket. So at least one main leak point is sorted. How 'bout the rest? What works for you?
