Another 240 saves a life - (and dies a hero) 200

Well Whitey, our intrepid 1989 240 wagon, met his untimely demise with my son at the helm on Friday afternoon. A 3 way wreck at an intersection of small town streets was the place. The 240 saved my son's life taking the full impact of a large BMW sedan square in the driver side door. That impact and resulting following impacts left almost every panel of the car dented save the rear hatch. So my son is ok as are the drivers of the other cars (and we're ever thankful for that too) involved but Whitey is a goner. If you are in the Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsy area, I have a 240 wagon good for parts, (the rear hatch is usable), good interior, great motor and trans (170K miles and always Mobile1), recent steering rack, brakes, new tires, heading for the junk yard. My mechanic is short on space but I will offer it to him one more time tomorrow and otherwise by Tuesday I have to get the car out of the yard. You can reach me at scpmiller@aol.com or I'll check back later and tomorrow. It is truly amazing what these cars can take and keep the occupants safe and sound. Another 240 will replace Whitey for sure.
