The cable and chain that control the driver's side window on my 130 have jumped off their pulleys, which means that the window drops down all the way and can't be raised. (Naturally this happened during one of the few rainstorms we've had in this freakishly dry winter.) I've removed the handles and the door upholstery and can get at the chain/cable, but can't figure out the way that they're supposed to mount. If I loop the cable over the top and bottom pulleys, it seems like the chain is way too far away from the sprocket to ever pull over it. I can loop the chain over the sprocket and can potentially remove the lower pulley unit, but it's hard to see how it the cable would be long enough to allow it to go back into place. Anyone have any experience with this? The parts manual diagram is useless.
Is it feasible to remove the outer door skin, so I can at least see what I'm doing? I've never done that and am worried about messing with paint, seals, etc.
