Resurection of 244DL 200

Would it be a bad idea to ressurect a 79 244DL after several years of sitting in a dusty garage?

The owner put the car into the garage drained the fuel and let it sit for the past 4 years. He says it ran like a dream but the in-tank pump was bad and he didn't have time to work on it and saw my ad for a wtb Volvo and called me.

I looked the car over and it was dusty and dirty but sheltered all those years. My main concern is the fuel injection system and coolant system since there is coolant in the tank. I'm afraid the water pump will be bad and the injection system will have dried out or something.....Isn't this model and year have the fussy fuel injection system I've read about...you know the mechanical one?

Otherwise its cool car with the manual tranny and well built body and interior.

Am I asking for trouble since I'm not able to actually hear the engine? It is free and turns over but the owner thinks a few hours of work and its should be good to go....Has 149,000 original miles.

What else should I do when I bring it back to life?
