I have an '84 245, non-turbo wagon, B23F engine with a no-start. Battery voltage is good, 25A fuse is good, replaced both pump and system relays with new ones. I checked coil wire with my DVOM and it checked out good. Pulled out #1 spark plug, attached spark plug wire, and held it to ground while my friend cranked engine over- no spark. We pulled out the Bosch coil and took it to nearby parts store, but they had no Bosch coils.
The new coil was reading the same across + and - terminals, #15 and #1 as my old Bosch coil, which was 1.4-1.5Ωs. I did not check from #1 to the coil tower terminal until after I had read a post from the Volvo Owners Club forum stating that I should be reading 7 to 8.5 kΩs for an EZK ignition system coil, which I don't think mine is. My reading was 13.2 kΩs, so that's why I suspect my coil is bad. Thanks for any advice you could give me.
