Wheel stud Removal from Brake Drum – Stuck

Need advice on extracting the wheel studs from the Brake Drum.
I have a 63 PV with a 57 PV front end and the Front Left wheel is held on by Left Hand Thread. I just got this vehicle and it appears others before me and I, attempted to remove the wheel nuts only to end up tightening them. As you could imagine, the stud threads are damaged and need replacement.

I put the Brake Drum in my press only to discover that the drum was bending and the stud would not budge. After pressing the brake drum back to its original position, I modified a 1” black pipe ( ~7/8” ID, larger than stud head) and placed it over the stud head. Then with a wheel nut on the stud, I used a heavy hammer and attempted to tap the stud out. It did not move. Next, I am going to try and press it again with the 1 inch pipe as support. I’m thinking that perhaps I should also heat up the area with a torch.

Question. Am I missing something here? I assume the studs are removable and not welded to hub (does not appear to be welded).

Do to the high cost of replacement brake drums, I want to be careful and not destroy it.
