question about wheels 120-130

I have these great looking wheels that I've had on a 444 for a long time. They're mags from the '60s and 2 pieces that are bolted together, so easy to repair a flat. I've always run them with tubes 15 x 5.5. The car is gone and I would like to put them on the 122. Problem is the caliper projects beyond the outer face of the rotor on which the wheel sits, by about 1/4".

This would mean using a spacer or a caliper with a different profile. (Anyone know if the late 4 pot calipers are any shallower (not proud of the wheel mounting surface?) From everything I've read or heard, spacers are to be avoided for reasons of load, parts wear, tracking, safety.

Any other ideas?

Wasn't a problem with drums all around on the 444, but I'd hate to not be able to continue to use them on the 122
