Crank shaft observation . Now with pics! 200

I decided to start a new thread on my dilemma.I must confess that I had already put the car back together but had an annoying feeling as to how I put the harmonic balancer back on the car.So my question is is the key way on the balancer supposed to line up with the key way on the crank?

Note the position of my marks. When I installed the balancer I only lined up the small notch with the 0 mark on the back cover. This is how it was when I removed it.

My crank mark does line up with the 0 on the timing scale but I did not use that as my guide when I removed the balancer. So do I ignore the harmonic balancer key way and just use the small notch to get me back to where I started?Or ignore the small notch, line up ALL the key ways, crank and balancer, fill and start it? The cam pulley and intermediate pulleys are in the correct position and line up with their corresponding marks in the covers. If these are correct I would imagine that the crank is also in the right position.Maybe I'm over thinking it but better safe than sorry.TIA
