Just curious since I'm working with my rear valance to accommodate the hitch I installed, were the front and rear valances on 86 - 93 240s (under the bumpers) originally that gray color, or have they just faded over the years?

Since I'm working with mine, I'm also dying it black, which I think will look better on my white car.
