I am a sign guy by trade and decided to wrap my rusty weathered 240 in paint wrap vinyl...

So far it looks fantastic and will post before and afters...but I was wondering...Can I cover the vents on the top of the hood?

Reason I ask is I guess obvious...It would keep the rain and bio gunk out of the inside of all that...

Would this be a bad thing? What are the purpose of these vents? (cosmetic or functional?)
