turbo camshaft in non-turbo

Looking for answers about installing a turbo camshaft in a non-turbo engine. I'm sure it will fit since I would try to pull one from a B230F engine, but I'm not sure how effective it would be.

Has anyone done this and is it worth the effort?
Does it add horsepower?

Also, what kind of engine is in a 1990 760? They just put one on the lot at the local pull-a-part, so I was going to check it out for parts I may be able to use on my 87 240 B230F engine, but I can't find out if it has a b230f engine or not.
