I don't know if this is allowed, BUT Im looking for an "air filter box" in good condition. This means no cracks or holes and the part where that big hose goes into the box, the foam is in good shape-mine is all crumbly. I would hope both the outside 'clips' would be there.

Also, the 'working part', the flap inside it that moves as the thermostat moves, should operate smoothly. Please don't tell me i can just tie it shut; mine WAS tied shut and I was not aware of it, and the "smog places " didn't catch it-as yet.

I have a NEW air filter box thermostat I had bought from RPR when Rusty was closing down, and I finally went to install it, but the box has issues I didn't realize 'till I removed it. I'm checking other sources, but thought i'd ask in here if anyone has a good used one I could buy at a reasonable price (plus shipping)? Thanks. 1989 245 DL wagon, non-turbo, A/C Thank you.
